An Year older... and Better :P

I seem to have been rather slow at the blogging thing recently, but one thing that i feel deserves a blog entry is my 23rd birthday which was last Sunday. I don't remember when was the last time, my birthday fell on a Sunday! I loved the fact it was a Sunday (weekdays mean running here and there, which spoils all the fun). Had been toiling hard for the past week with the exams (toiling because i'm a firm believer in last minute preparations, so was left with almost everything to stuff my little brain). Moreover the exams concluded only a day before my birthday.

Was so relieved...phewww!

I think EVERYONE should indulge in some pampering (themselves) on their birthday because you truly DO owe it to yourself. So did I :P whether you’re a guy or a girl you got to pamper yourself; be it with shopping, sleeping , partying with friends, indulging in all sorts of junk, WHATEVER! just as long as you spend your day having fun and doing what you love…(what more if it falls on a weekend).

My day began rather early(midnight), feels nice when friends whom you talk seldom to ring you up unexpectedly to wish! Loved the fact that i have my place in this big bad world, where people do remember me :P The day that followed was great.. Got the privilege to cut the cake thrice :) thanks to my family and dear friends!

Initially it did bother me that i'v turned an year older, and have quiet a lot of things to be done but then realized its the present that matters the most. And i'm doing well as of now. As far as age is concerned I guess "An year older is an year better" than what you were
previously :P

The main purpose of this blog entry is to thank everyone who made it special for me! I can only thank and appreciate you guys(who despite of all hurdles or some reason) came by to wish me. Could not have asked for more. The day ended with a pleasant surprise from my brother who was least expected to visit me that day. He came along with bhabhi & nephew(oh he is too adorable as a gift)!! That was the best-est conclusion to such a wonderful day!
Thanks all :D

On Cloud nine!

Yes yes, i am on cloud nine! As i did not expect this award "at all", that too twice. Got the superior scribbler award from two of my dearest freinds

Thank you guys. You both have been really generous :) There are far more deserving candidates than me. I hardly put in that amount of effort or pain you or other bloggers take. But still it feels as if i'm giving a speech at the awards night LOL :D Seriously, its been time i'v been awarded something, what better than being awarded 'The Superior Scribbler ' award. I still have a really long way to go. Till then i'll enjoy the awards bestowed on me by you two.

The rules are listed as follows:

* Each Superior Scribbler must in turn pass The Award on to 5 most-deserving Bloggy Friends.
* Each Superior Scribbler must link to the author & the name of the blog from whom he/she has received The Award.
* Each Superior Scribbler must display The Award on his/her blog, and link to
This Post, which explains The Award.
* Each Blogger who wins The Superior Scribbler Award must visit this post and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List.
* Each Superior Scribbler must post these rules on his/her blog.

I award the following:

One of my closest friends, and a great person in her own ways. Love her blogs & the way she writes. Can truly do magic with words. She is always there encouraging me to blog and getting an award from you doubles the encouragement!! Keep posting girl, want you to top the list of bloggers :)

Now now, (a great friend) he is a person with all the wisdom! Have not come across someone like you in my life. Love the way you blog, and the way you see things is just where we lesser mortals stop thinking. You put a point across in such a way that one has to sit down and is forced to give it a thought. So buddy keep up the good work & hope you get more and more awards ;)

3. kasabiangirl: http: //kasabiangirl.blogspot.com/
Its been a while since I have started off reading your blog, and trust me you write beautifully! You have a nice way of expressing things.

4. Vikas: http://the--walk--of--life.blogspot.com/
A dear friend, with a great personality! Though he has been off blogger for a while now, but i beleive he has the potential to turn into a good blogger. Hope he manages time out of his busy schedule and resumes writing soon!

Monica suggested the link to her blog, and honestly speaking went through only a couple of her posts! But all of them were worth each word! No wonder she has a great list of followers.

Lastly, I'd like to thank you two again! I am honored :) Would try and keep up to the awards name and atleast try and scribble if not the most superior blog :P

A Fascinating Delusion

Slept a little extra than my usual. Got up at 10 in the morning...felt sooo good :) The weather outside is amazing, even now! Just love to snuggle up in the bed and look out of my window! Had this crazy dream :P :D

I really dont know what it meant. But then its like this only, often dreams dont have any meaning or do they?. I have this fuzzy image of what happened. So it goes like this...

It was around 11 in the morning, was raining(could say was drizzling). I was walking down a street , enjoying the tiny dropplets on my face. Across the street i met 2 0f my friends. Three of us, were busy catching up, i guess because we met after a pretty long gap! then's when we reach this joint where we used hang out(dinginess around) in our schooling years. Unlike before, no one was there. But we were not bothered! Continued our chats... By then it was all dark, a beautiful dark(at 12 in the morning). Thats when i get out of the place, dunno where my friends were. I was walking on a path(not so nicely done), greenery everywhere. It was so quiet, so serene. I love the way it feels, when it gets dark in the day time. Nothing moves during this period, the
only noise you can hear is that of the little drops of rain. The buildings visible around seemed to be the remains of a really old city. Suddenly, I happened to see the moon(but wasnt it noon?). Then all of a sudden i remember the fact there was going to be an eclipse today...

But how come the moon was visible? Isnt it the moon that obscures the sun during an eclipse?
what the hell was it?

10.05 am

daddy: Parul, utho!

And then i realise, all of it was a dream! :P :|

A shady light coming in from the window of my room, birds chirping, you can smell the wet mud... :) it was all blueish gray outside, like u have photoshopped it to blue gray. No worries attatched!

God knows what was the dream, and what it meant but i'd love to go back to that place wherever it was. Where its an eerie blue forever :)
Wish colud have stayed a bit longer!!

To GARV.. With loads of Love :)

I wonder why I'm so in love with this Little Angel, that my brother was blessed with lately. I'm so very much in awe of him! What a pure soul he seems :) Feel like he deserves this post more than anyone.

It was 3.30 p.m. on the 13th of June. I distinctly remember all that afternoon, I had been watching re-runs of FRIENDS(managed to lay my hands on the first 5 seasons or so). My landline telephone rang, and the lazy a** I am, I did'nt even feel like answering the phone as I was reclining easy on the sofa :P But then evetually, thought of answering the call or else Mom would'hv been mad at me! To my surprise, it was my brother on the other side, from the hospital. He was like "I'm a father Parul, and you a bua!". It was least expexted at that time. There was this sudden rush of emotions within. I'm generally not known to be too emotional, but that day I dunno why there was this immidiate tear trickling down my eye. I still dunno why that happened. I could sense nervousness in my bro's voice. (Even now after, almost 22 days he is scared of picking the boy up). I congratulated him and passed on the phone to my mum (Thought that was the best thing to do at that time, I usually take time to express my feelings). So, another Gemini was born. It was my mum's birthday on the 12th. Double celebrations :D

Was pretty excited, and could'nt contain the excitement within. Told a few close freinds about it. I had never seen a-day old baby before. After that, we rushed to the hospital to see that all was well with mother-son duo, and with god's grace it was! My brother was blushing.. teehee :D About my brother, I'd like to say that he has always been there for me, since I was a kid myself. I share this special bond with him. Never, felt the need of a real brother. Coming back we were supposed to wait outside the nursery. After an hour or so, the little one was brought to my bhabhi's room. When I saw him first, could'nt stop staring at him and beleive me could'hav done that the entire time. Was quiet apprehensive initially to lift him up, but once I did, dint feel like letting him go.

Trust me, I personally dont approve of small children yelling and crying. Earlier used to get annoyed to the core. Used to ask my mom, why the hell are'nt children born 4-5 years old.(Did'nt know the technicalities then). But i guess he has changed my perception. Seems a symbol of innocence to me.

After lots of contemplation, he has been named GARV (what a short and sweet name). Btw was suggested by me.. He is soo cute and has this positive aura around him. Looks awesome when he smiles! He keeps everyone busy, capturing his slightest of movements(Some model in the making..eh?) Does'nt cry much. My Mom tells me, even I was like that. Never gave her much trouble :D. Dunno why, I love watching him, even though he's sleeping most of the time! Hope he inculcates all the good characterstics of his parents, and with me visiting him often thoda bohot mere jaisa ho.. ;)

Lastly, would say he has a fan in me!
Wish God blesses him with all the love and happiness in the world!!

Amen...

The Way (IT) makes me feel

Now that Michael Jackson is dead, all of a sudden there's this huge bombardment of newspapers and TV channels, Facebook statuses are being constantly updated, people are Twitter-ing furiously, messageboards are flooded -- the Internet is jammed with the outpouring of news and grief! How come suddenly all that sympathy mounting up day-by-day ?

But what of the time when he was alive?

he was seen to as a

  • Child molester
  • Freak
  • Lunatic
  • Unfit parent
  • Bisexual
Thats a lot!! We dont know how much of it all stands true, but we have this habbit of forming opinions based on hearsay. Sad!! This has always happened and will continue to happen...

So we have a short memory, do we?

Nothing new there. The world (including me) has this inclination to crucify the rich and famous and then elevating them to God-like status when their lives are cut short.

Anyways, personally I never could bring myself to believe this eccentric man could have been a sex offender. And there are those who will believe it was the other way round. But whatever your opinion, one thing is undeniable --that he was a legend. His music, his performances and his energy entertained us for over four decades. He is one of the few pop stars that my pea-sized brain can recall since I was a kiddo. Loved his Heal the world!

MJ had a real tragic end, no one still can say clearly how the poor soul died. I hear different theories each day. Faking death being the latest!! I mean, media and people are running their minds wild.

Let him be, is all I can say...

R.I.P MJ
